Hello, a bit about me:
Passionate about meaningful, well-researched storytelling
and using the power of the press to invigorate social consciousness and community engagement.
Finding purpose telling political stories in the everyday,
outside of press conferences and legislative chambers.
I started my journey as a journalist after teaching English in an impoverished community in Mexico amidst the 2016 election
and then resettling a Syrian refugee family in 2017.
Through these experiences and telling their stories,
I have dedicated myself to people-first policy reporting,
constantly innovating to keep up with the evolving industry.
Having dedicated myself to media ethics research while taking on leadership roles in the newsroom, I know that
responsible, adaptable journalism is more needed than ever.
